On January 5, 2019, a young Sudanese man was forcibly put on a plane: a single ticket Schiphol - Khartoum. Many passengers on the first part of the flight to Nairobi were shocked to learn that a man was pressed flat on the seats in the back row while 3 military police officers were sitting on top of him. All this violence to get someone forcefully to Sudan, where he would undoubtedly face (and unfortunately did face) much more violence from the secret services.
Several passengers decided to stand up in protest of this deportation, they refused to take their seats. A lot of military police got involved and 3 people were eventually taken off the plane and arrested.

The prosecution is still trying to charge 2 people for this action. In the first instance the activists won, but the OM won in appeal. Thereupon, the activists filed cassation
