Varkens in Nood and Filmhuis Cavia will show the documentary The Last Pig on Wednesday April 18.
The impressionistic documentary The Last Pig by Allison Argo follows Bob Comis in his last year as ethical pig farmer. The film is a meditative portrait of a man and his pigs, in which compassion, equality and the value of life play a central role. The film brings a realisation of what it means to be a sentient being with the power of life and death over other living creatures.
