The appeals court has made the decision and Roupakias, the member of Golden Dawn that murdered antifascist Pavlos Fyssas, is to be released from prison on March 18th because the 30 months of temporary imprisonment have passed (18 months for the murder and 12 months for participating in a criminal organisation). He will be now going to court from his house.
With Roupakias release there will be no Golden Dawn members in jail for the murder of Fyssas and for dozens other attacks.
Once again we see that courts and generally the justice system is not unbiased. On one hand protesters getting arrested and put into jail after being beaten up, or Sakkas who stayed 2,5 years in prison because 'he was dangerous' or an unemployed person that got 22 months of imprisonment on 3 year parole for a ticket.
On the other hand, Greece has time to 'take care' of all the 'illegals', the 'unwanted', those 'without rights' but the court didn't have time to pass Roupakias through trial.
Fascism will not be fought through law, through the bourgeois democracy and the so-called independent justice. Fascists, as well as memorandums and the state of emergency will be fought on the streets.
