Waar: MKZ, Eerste Schinkelstraat 14-16, Amsterdam, Netherlands
Wanneer: 08/02/2015 - 15:00
It's nearing that time again :D ... we're extending a warm invitation to come and enjoy (and better yet help in creating!) a delicious feast created from surplus food donated by local suppliers! February's edition of our People's Kitchen is dedicated to the Blockupy movement. Specific attention will be drawn to March 18th's call to action!
Join us on February 8th for a brief explanation about what Blockupy is all about and how you might want to get involved. Otherwise, just join us for a nice Sunday afternoon of good food and friends!
After digging into an extravagant freegan dinner, we will show a short video (TBA). Following the screening, we will have someone from the Blockupy movement give you the quick and dirty deets on their purpose and plans.
As usual, you are very welcome to contribute your culinary skills in food preparation starting at 15:00 h onward. It’s a lovely afternoon atmosphere with music, friends and delicious smells from the stove! Of course it is also perfectly ok to just come at 18.30 h for the dinner or at 19:30h for the screening/talk. Bring a friend or come on your own and make new friends!
In short, the program for the afternoon/evening looks like this:
** 15:00 cooking
** 18:30 dinner
** 19.30 video and presentation
** 20.00 drinks and relaxation
You can come and leave as you please! We're happy to see you face even for a short time!
Price for the dinner: voluntary donation
