We're sorry to break the news but being a feminist doesn't automagically give you access to gender equality utopia in your head. We are all raised in a sexist society and that will affect how we relate to ourselves and to other people. In this evening we want to explore and talk about contradictions that we excerise as feminists. To understand the possible results these actions have and how to abolish these (sometimes subconscious) sexist ideas.
Kickass Amsterdam Feministas is a group of people from diverse backgrounds that want everyone to come together and keep the discussion of feminism ongoing. Our activities include hanging out, organising workshops and theme nights, taking part in concrete actions that address society, discussing topics and confronting our contradictions. You're invited to participate in our meet-ups, add things to the list above or to just bring foooood \o/
The group meets every second Sunday of the month in the Bollox. We bring our "potluck” vegan meals (everyone brings some food to share), we prepare and eat from 18:00, discussion/theme usually starts around 19:00
