Prohibition of antifa-camp Dortmund
A summer camp for antifascist activists, where workshops and presentations were planned as well as actions, has been banned by local authorities a day before the camp was scheduled to start in Dortmund. The organizers of the camp had been negotiating with the local authorities for weeks, and had good expectations and were surprised by the decision. The city of Dortmund has a serious neonazi problem. As one of the reasons for banning the camp, authorities cite the fact that neonazi's were planning to march on the camp [1]. Organisers of the camp have declared that they consider this "giving in to the fascists". On the website for the camp [2] a call has been published to all come to Dortmund. A first public meeting is planned on Friday at 10 am on the Friedrichsplatz [3].
Other renowned antifascist organisations, such as the Auschwitz Comity have issued declarations repudiating the banning, and demanding withdrawal of it [4].
