Last weekend there were 3 squatting actions in Holland. One of the actions was the re-squatting of Waldeck Pyrmontlaan 8 (WP8), Amsterdam.
This is an update about the WP8 and the eviction that has taken place. We will have updates under this messages so check Indymedia, SM and other channels for info.
At the WP8, 9 people got arrested. All will be taken to court on Wednesday. The public prosecutor wants their further detention for 14 days and the examining magistrate has to decide whether that's appropriate.
The hearings will not be public and no time is known.
We will update with further information under this message for soli-demo's and ofcourse what the outcome will be coming Wednesday.
Autonomous actions are highly appreciated!
Two people are released.
The rest stays imprisoned.
What is the rationale for releasing those two while keeping the others ? What are the charges so far ? Did people keep jail solidarity or did they give their names ?
COME TO COURT CASE OF OUR CAMERADES BRING NOISEEEEE
11:50 Pernassusweg!
Wtf is jail solidarity, very toxic idea. You dont show id on the street, thats solidarity, but in jail if youre not ok you should be able to id yourself
Jail solidarity is just the english term voor 'NN blijven'. There is no obligation to do either or judgement for such choices.
Nevertheless, it is advisable to remain anonymous, as this protecs one civic identity. It also makes sure that people with and without residence permits can not be treated separately.
In the past the dutch state has locked joh and jane does into foreigners detention. If it is unclear who is 'gal' or even a native citizen, the potential of crteating a 'scandalous mistake' is much greater if citens etc consequently remain anonymous.
What is the outcome of the court case
