Gemeente Amsterdam ontruimt nog steeds voor leegstand, onder valse voorwendselen! Hotel Mokum wordt bedreigd met een spoedontruiming!
Vandaag heeft de gemeente ons bedreigd met een besluit tot spoedontruiming met brandveiligheid als reden. Eerder heeft gemeente Amsterdam gezegd dat brandveiligheid niet misbruikt mag worden om panden te ontruimen en dat krakers de kans moeten krijgen om veiligheidsmaatregelen te treffen. Wij verwachten een spoedontruiming ieder moment vanaf morgenochtend. Sta paraat, hou onze social media in de gaten, we houden jullie op de hoogte. We zijn wettelijke procedures aan het starten en gaan een demo organiseren zodra we meer weten. De komende dagen hebben we steun nodig om ons pand te beschermen en onze boodschap te verspreiden: NIET ONTRUIMEN VOOR LEEGSTAND! WET OF GEEN

The municipality of Amsterdam is still evicting squats for vacancy under false pretenses! Today we were threatened with speed eviction!
Today the municipality threatened Hotel Mokum with a speed eviction under the pretense of fire safety. Before the municipality stated fire safety should not be misused for evicting squats and that squatters should have the chance to fix safety issues. We suspect potential eviction any time from tomorrow morning. Please keep an eye on our channels we will keep you posted as soon as possible. We are taking legal measures and will organise a demonstration as soon as we know more. The coming days we need your support to protect our squat and spread our message: NO EVICTION FOR VACANCY! FUCK THE LAW SQUAT THE WORLD!

On 26th November, we will gather at Ouderkerksplein in Amsterdam at 18:30 for the international day against gender-based violence.
Whilst the lockdown has showed us that many women are not safe in their own homes, last year was the deadliest (recorded) year for transpeople. Gender-based violence doesn't know borders and neither does our solidarity! We are here, we are survivors, we are angry and we will not remain silent!
