We are organising a series of evenings concerning the refugees and their struggle. Main goal: to create an work of art together with refugees, artists, activists and everybody that wants to participate and to establish an active group in rotterdam. (this is the kick-off for the platformbar which aims to have regular evenings that everybody can fill in, these events are open for actualities, political debates ect. platformbar invites you to come up with your theme.)
first evening 22 april : asylum policy and practice told by activists and refugees
second evening 6 may : the imaging of refugees/immigrants and (colonial) history
27 may : meetup about this subject (documentary, brainstorm ect)
Third evening 10 june : refugees self organisations and activism told by refugees and activists
24 june : meetup about this subject
4th night, date unknown yet : creative ways to communicate the refugees struggle, performed by artists with and without papers.
More nights are coming, we will inform you soon about the dates.
Each evening will end up in a brainstorm/group-talk where in everybody can express their idea's and opinions.
Each evening starts at 19.30!
