Hier kun je discussieren over Russian anarchist who fought for Ukraine dies on 9 August.
BOAC publishes his farewell letter. It says:
"Greetings to all our comrades. My name is Vladislav, call sign 'Pirate'. I have decided to leave this letter in case I die in the war against the imperial Russian regime, the war against the country in which I was born and raised, the war against the dictator who usurped power before I was born. I want this letter to remain a historical document about the participation of anarchist revolutionaries in the resistance of the Ukrainian people against Russian tyranny. I, like all sane citizens of the Russian Federation, was shocked by the outbreak of this war, the terrible injustice and crimes committed by the Russian army on the territory of Ukraine. Since the first days of the full-scale invasion, I have been thinking about what I can do to fight against this injustice, how I can stop the madness that my own people are committing. When I learned about the appearance of military units within the Ukrainian Armed Forces that accepted Russian citizens, I immediately realized that I had to fight for the freedom of the Ukrainian people and our ideals in this way, with arms in hand. And even if I don't see the victory of the Ukrainian people over the occupiers, I believe in the bright future of anarchist communism, justice and freedom for all people on Earth. I believe that the future will definitely come, as long as our comrades continue to fight, totalitarianism, authoritarianism and fascism will not take over humanity. I wish my comrades not to lose confidence in the struggle for freedom.
The Revolution is undying!"
Our condolences to family and friends.
