Yesterday taught us an important lesson.
After some squatters recently won an appeal against a speed eviction many of us were optimistic that the policy of illegal speed evictions would stop. We were wrong. Real ground is won in the streets, not in the courts. Our strength is in our numbers. Today they didn't evict not because it would be illegal to do so, but because they didn't have the capacity.
Today was a victory, Tomorrow another day.
We are prepared to fight back.
