Hier kun je discussieren over Camp meeting Rhineland area concept.
If you need translation, please tell us beforehand. If you have any questions, please contact klimacamp-im-rheinland@autistici.org! Moreover, we'd like to ask all groups who already have their own ideas regarding camps in the Rhineland to let us know what these plans are via mail beforehand, in order for us to be able to include them in the preparation of the meeting.
There will be a facilitation meeting on Friday at 6pm. If you're interested in joining the facilitation team, please come! You can see in the attached document (only in German, sorry!) where facilitation is needed.
Please register beforehand using this link: https://dudle.inf.tu-dresden.de/camptreffen/ and tell us whether you will be needing a place to sleep or child care during the weekend. You do not need to register using your actual name. (Fill out the form as follows: tick off which of the days you will be present. Furthermore: „Benoetige Kinderbetreuung“ means: I need childcare, „Benoetige Schlafplatz“ means: I need a place to sleep).
Best regards,
the preparation team
* What is the area concept?
The area concept is about having all kinds of different forms of actions in the rhenish lignite mining area take place side by side and in solidarity with one another (there is currently a debate whether this is to happen in August 2017 or during CoP23 in November). This can be demonstrations, small group actions, human chains, mass actions of civil disobedience and much more. The Rhineland is focused on coal mining resistance and climate justice, but this focus can very well be broadened! It is quite likely that the concept will need several camps to take place, or one core camp and several small ones which might share parts of their infrastructure.
