Today Zwarte Piet (Black Pete) and SInterklaas will parade through Amsterdam, 600 people in blackface and about 400.000 visitors. For your information, the parade will pass by de Balie today around 14:30-14:45. The anti-racist activist group that is organizing the protest at de Dam asks for a silent protest when the parade passes by. We will be turning our backs toward the Parade at de Dam. As you are all gathered at de Balie and expressed your disgust about these festivities, I thought if you want to protest it could be good to perhaps follow the call of these organizers and repeat the same tactics "turning your back torwards the parade" when they pass by, I think this will come as very unexpected to the parade, since they expect us at de Dam.
