On Saturday 3 November, a comrade of the Berlin chapter of the anarcho-syndicalist FAU will come to Amsterdam and speak about the developments of the FAU in the previous 5 years.
Soup will be served at 18.00, and the meeting will start at approximately 19.30. The event is organized by the Anarcho-Syndicalistische Bond-Amsterdam.
Below, a brief introduction to her talk will follow:
"About what we learned and what we fucked up:
During the famous Babylon cinema conflict, a struggle which resulted in a
court ban on the FAU-Berlin’s status as a union and its ability to call
itself a union, the popularity of anarchosyndicalism among German
activists rose.
The ban was eventually revoked, but the fights continued and new ones were
started - the union has grown ever since. In the period that followed, horizontal
learning processes and a structured organizing became essential for syndicalists in Berlin."
