Rebelact (doesn't?) celebrate five years of rebel clowning!

Sunday, Sept 9th 2007 Amsterdam Rebel Clowns gathered for the first time. Now 5 years and 60 interventions later the red noses even don't have time to celebrate. The clowns have a rehearsal this weekend to prepare their next mission, a very special one!
What happened in the last period? In February we joined the Art as Money Festival: there we 'privatised' the large toilet space. No, we didn't publish it on Indymedia. A pitty because our 'business class toilets' with special services were really great!
In the months after we had discussions about how to renew our concept and way of organising. Although you probably won't notice the differences, we're very glad with the outcome. That's why we start this brand new season with much fresh energy!
By the way: we already started the season with a first training Sunday, August 26th. Much more will follow. Why?
Again: because we should prepare our next mission, a very special one!

By the way: the new website is not finished yet (still 51 actions to upload and several texts to add and improve), but even now we're already very happy to celebrate our five years that way!

Zondag, 9 september 2007 kwamen Amsterdamse Rebel Clowns voor het eerst bijelkaar. Nu 5 jaar en 60 interventies later, hebben de rode neuzen niet eens tijd om het te vieren. De clowns hebben een bijeenkomst dit weekend om hun volgende missie voor te bereiden, dat wordt een heel speciale!
Wat gebeurde er in de afgelopen periode? In february deden we mee aan het Art as Money Festival: daar 'privatiseerden' we de enorme toiletruimte. Nee, we publiceerden het niet op Indymedia. Jammer, want onze 'business class toiletten' met speciale service waren echt fantastisch!
In de maanden daarna hadden we discussies over hoe we ons concept en manier van organiseren zouden kunnen vernieuwen. Hoewel je waarschijnlijk de verschillen niet zult opmerken, zijn we erg blij met de uitkomst. Daarom starten we dit gloednieuwe seizoen met veel frisse energie!
Tussen haakjes: we zijn het seizoen al begonnen met een eerste training op zondag, 26 augustus. Er komen er nog meer. Waarom?
Nogmaals: omdat we onze volgende missie voorbereiden, dat wordt een heel speciale!

Tussen haakjes: de nieuwe website is nog niet helemaal af (er moeten nog 51 acties worden geupload, naast verschillende aan te vullen en te verbeteren teksten), maar zelfs nu zijn we al heel blij om onze 5 jaar op die manier te vieren!
