Gisteravond hebben actievoerders in Amsterdam de deuren van 16 verschillende Albert Heijn-winkels in de stad dichtgelijmd.

Waarom?
Omdat we eisen dat Albert Heijn, de grootste supermarktketen van Nederland (met een marktaandeel van 35% en 37% van de supermarktverkopen), NU stopt met zakendoen met Israël.
Gaza lijdt honger en het is walgelijk om geld te verdienen aan de export van voedsel uit de kolonistenkolonie die hen uithongert.
Albert Heijn heeft een wettelijke en morele verplichting om te desinvesteren uit een land dat sinds januari 2024 door het Internationaal Gerechtshof (ICJ) aannemelijk is bevonden van genocide. Zelfs zonder een definitieve uitspraak over genocide heeft het ICJ in november 2024 geoordeeld dat Israël zich schuldig maakt aan apartheid.
Het is MEER dan genoeg tijd geweest voor Albert Heijn om te desinvesteren uit Israël. Er is al langer dan 660 dagen GENOCIDE. Genoeg is genoeg.
Albert Heijn probeert voortdurend het imago van de buurtwinkel te promoten, die biologische producten verkoopt en zich duurzaam gedraagt.
Hoe durven ze deze beweringen maken terwijl ze investeren in bedrijven als Soda Stream, Garden Gourmet en meer, die geld binnenhalen in een regio die het recht op leven van Palestijnen vernietigt en enorme milieuschade veroorzaakt?
Vruchtbare grond vernietigd, watersystemen verwoest, ongezuiverd rioolwater dat in de Middellandse Zee stroomt.
KINDEREN STERVEN VAN DE HONGER!
Zoals op de officiële BDS-pagina staat:
"Veel Israëlische bedrijven spelen een directe rol in de schendingen van het internationaal recht door Israël, wat betekent dat elke zakelijke relatie met hen een vorm van directe steun is voor de onderdrukking van de Palestijnen door Israël.
Zo nemen Israëlische exporteurs van verse producten, zoals Mehadrin en Hadiklaim, deel aan de diefstal van Palestijns land. Daarom draagt elke aankoop van hun producten bij aan de financiering van de gedwongen verdrijving van Palestijnen door Israël. Naast het verzoek aan consumenten om deze producten niet te kopen, hebben we met succes campagne gevoerd om retailers te laten stoppen met de verkoop ervan."
Wij vinden dat het tijd voorbij is om Albert Heijn vriendelijk te vragen en onze eisen te stellen in een taal die zij begrijpen: het verstoren van de winst.
We roepen anderen op om ook verstorende acties tegen Albert Heijn te ondernemen: stelen, producten vernielen, de normale bedrijfsvoering stilleggen. Net als bij de apartheid in Zuid-Afrika was het nodig om te verstoren voordat AH zich terugtrok uit die apartheidsstaat.
Pas als ze besluiten de banden met de GENOCIDALE en APARTHEIDSTAAT Israël te verbreken, kunnen we rusten.

Last night in Amsterdam actionists glued shut the doors of some 16 Albert Heijn's throughout the city.
Why?
Because we demand that Albert Heijn, the largest supermarket chain in the Netherlands (accounting for 35% of market share and 37% of supermarket sales) stops doing business with Israel, NOW.
Gaza is Starving and making money off exported food from the settler colony that is starving them is disgusting.
Albert Heijn has a legal and moral obligation to divest from a country that since January 2024 was found to be plausibly committing a genocide by the International Court of Justice (ICJ). Even without a definitive ruling of genocide, in November 2024 the ICJ ruled that Israel is guilty of apartheid.
It's been MORE than enough time for Albert Heijn to divest from Israel. We are approaching 660 days of GENOCIDE. Enough is Enough.
Albert Heijn constantly tries to promote the image of the next door grocer, selling biological products and behaving sustainably.
How dare they make these claims while they are investing in companies like Soda Stream, Garden Gourmet, and more that are bringing money into a region that is destroying the right to life of Palestinians and creating epic environmental harm?
Fertile soil destroyed, water systems decimated, raw sewage running into the Mediterranean Sea.
CHILDREN DYING OF STARVATION!
As the official BDS page states:
"Many Israeli companies play a direct role in Israel’s violations of international law, meaning that any business relationship with them is a form of direct support for Israel’s oppression of Palestinians.
For example, Israeli fresh produce exporters such as Mehadrin and Hadiklaim take part in the theft of Palestinian land. Therefore, any purchases of their products help fund Israel’s forced displacement of Palestinians. In addition to asking consumers not to buy these products, we successfully campaigned for retailers to stop selling them."
We believe it's past time to ask Albert Heijn nicely and time to start making our demands in a language they understand: the disruption of profit.
We urge others to start taking disruptive action against Albert Heijn as well: steal, destroy products, shut down business as usual. Just like with the apartheid in South Africa it was necessary to disrupt before AH divested from that apartheid state.
When they decide to cut ties with the GENOCIDAL and APARTHEID state of Israel we can rest.
