Come join us for a screening of two chaotic DIY documentaries of squatting in times past.
In 'Break and Enter/Rompiendo Puertas' we follow Puerto Rican and Dominican families as they take back homes in Manhattan's upper West. So called 'Operation Move-in' was a radical and community led movement in the late 60s, tackling housing issues that still feel relevant today.
In 'Battle of Tuntenhaus I' we are in for a joyride through the flamboyant gay squat on Berlin's legendary Mainzerstrasse. It is the year 1991, the Berlin wall has fallen, riots are frequent and the inhabitants of Tuntenhaus swing between drag shows and barricades.
