The UvA is starting to make some small concessions, this shows that our organising is working! UvA states not to want to engage in future research projects with Shell without talking to students & staff first. However, ongoing projects with Shell continue, Shell is still recruiting at our university and our demands have not been met. The CvB still exists and the university is run like a business, cops still terrorise our campuses and casual and exploitative contracts prevail. If we continue our pressure we can win! Decolonize. Democratise. Decarbonize. NOW! We want to see real material change or we will make it happen ourselves. Representatives of Shell and Tata Steel will be present at a career event to recruit students, join us in making it clear they are not welcome! There will be speeches, music and fun activities.
