The 4th Degrowth summer school „Visions for the Social-Ecological Transformation“ will take place from July 27 to August 2 at the Climate Camp Leipziger Land in Pödelwitz. With the summer school we would like to ask the question: How do we want to live together? And how does the path to there look like?
Join now! … or browse through our program first.
In the summer school courses you can find out what's „Participatory Economics – introduction & discussion“, answer the question if „Good flight for all? “ are possible or explore the transformative potential of moving and encountering during „revolutionary walks “.
The courses will take place for four days with a fixed group of people. From now on you can sign up for the courses online. The number of participants for each course is limited.
We will specifically address the future perspectives for the local village of Pödelwitz. The village is in danger to be evicted and dug away in order to proceed with climate-damaging lignite mining. The villagers resist and fight for a future without coal. What about free public transport instead? - Or democratic control of energy supply, good food for all or grassroots organizing?
Furthermore you can look forward to panels about „Degrowth and Care“ or „Climate Justice“ as well as theatre, concerts, collectively cooked food and the inspiring atmosphere of a self organized climate camp.
You will find detailed information about registration and program of the summer school online.
