De documentaire Check It volgt een straatbende van zwarte gay, queer en trans jongeren in Washington, die ooit ontstond uit een groep negenjarige kinderen die bij elkaar de bescherming vonden die ze zochten. In de groep kunnen ze fierce en fabulous zijn, en vinden ze een houding tegen de discriminatie en het geweld waar zij nog steeds op een dagelijkse basis aan blootgesteld worden.

The documentary Check It follows a street gang of black gay, queer and trans youths in Washington, which one started from a handful of nine-year-olds who found the protection they needed in each other. In the group they are allowed to be fierce and fabulous, and find an attitude to help with the discrimination and violence they face on a daily basis.
