JustPeople has been busy with direct action and solidarity acitivities since the 3000 ppl "emergency refugee camp" in Heumensoord near Nijmegen was opened in September 2015.
Since then, some of the people who are active with us have experience with fleeing their country themselves.
This Monday, we invite an activist form Germany who has been busy on the Balkan route in Belgrad, Serbia. A lot of people are stuck on there on their way to northern Europe.
The aim is to share experiences and, get some first hand info about the current situation and see what we can do to support.
We can talk with her about the political situation in the Balkans, European politics of fortification and the direct effects on the life of refugees at the outer borders, self-organized solidarity projects in the Balkans and what we can do practically.
Join us for discussion, cakes and thinking about ways to support people on the Balkan route!
