Op maandag 30 mei organiseert AFA Den Haag wederom een Antifa Café in het Autonoom Centrum. Deze keer zullen wij de korte film “Une vie de lutte – Der kampf geht weiter" (een leven van strijd - de strijd gaat door) vertonen. De film gaat over de moord op Clément Méric, een antifascist en vakbondsactivist die in 2013 op 19-jarige leeftijd in Parijs door neonazis van de groep Troisième Voie werd vermoord. Voorafgaand aan de film is de veganistische VoKu van het Autonoom Centrum vanaf 19:00 open. De film begint om 21:00

Toen op 5 juni 2013 de antifascistische activist Clément Méric met twee vrienden in de binnenstad van Parijs door drie neonazis wordt aangevallen en uiteindelijk vermoord wordt, zorgde dit onmiddelijk voor een verontwaardiging over rechts geweld in heel Frankrijk.
Deze daad en Clément zijn niet vergeten.
In de context van een groeiend parlementair rechts zoals in de vorm van het Front National, evenals een verrechtsing van de samenleving in Frankrijk en Europa, probeert de film de moord in het collectieve bewustzijn te houden en een reconstructie te maken van de gebeurtenissen. Er wordt ingegaan op de dreiging van rechts en er wordt een blik geworpen op de huidige antifascistische strijd.
De documentaire werd gezamenlijk ontwikkeld en gefilmd door North East Antifascists (NEA) Berlin en sympathisanten. Voor het tot stand komen van deze film hebben vrienden van “Action Antifasciste Paris-Banlieue”, “Quartiers Libres”, “La Horde”, fans van voetbalclub Ménilmontant FC, Bernard Schmid en vele andere actieve bijdragen geleverd.

On Monday May 30, AFA Den Haag organizes another Antifa Café at the Autonomous Centre. This time, we'll show the short movie “Une vie de lutte – Der kampf geht weiter" (a life of struggle – the struggle goes on). The film is about the murder of Clément Méric, anti-fascist and union militant who in 2013 got killed at 19 years of age at the hands of neonazis affiliated with the group Troisième Voie. The vegan kitchen of the Autonomous Centre will be opened from 19:00. The movie starts at 21:00

When at the 5th of June 2013 the antifascist activist Clément Méric got attacked by three neo-nazi's and got killed in the presence of two of his friends, this caused an short-lived outcry against right-wing violence throughout France.
This deed and Clément have not been forgotten since.
In the context of a growth of the parliamentary far-right in the form of the Front National, and a growing right-wing tendency in society in France and Europe, the film tries to keep the murder in the collective consciousness as well as making a reconstruction of the events. Also, it gives an outline of the threat of the right and an insight into current antifascist struggles.
The documentary has been developed and filmed by North East Antifascists (NEA) Berlin and supporters. For the realisation of this movie, friends of “Action Antifasciste Paris-Banlieue”, “Quartiers Libres”, “La Horde”, supporters of soccerclub Ménilmontant FC, Bernard Schmid and many others have made active contributions.

Wij hebben besloten het Antifa-Café en de vertoning van de film één dag op te schuiven naar DINSDAG 31 MEI. Dit in verband met aangekondigde acties op maandag door Strijd Tegen Racisme tijdens een debat in Den Haag waar Edwin Wagensveld, voorman van het racistische Pegida Nederland door de Jonge Democraten (D66 jongeren) een podium wordt geboden om publiekelijk zijn racistische haat te verspreiden. Wij willen dit tegenprotest niet in de weg zitten en zijn met de organisatie van het protest van mening dat je met racisten niet in debat gaat: je moet ze bestrijden.
Het Autonoom Centrum is maandag wel gewoon open.
We've decided to postpone the Antifa-Café and the screening of the movie for one day to TUESDAY May 31st. This is in reaction to a call-out for action from Strijd Tegen Racisme against a debate-event in The Hague organised by the Jonge Democraten (D66 youth), who have invited Edwin Wagensveld, leader of the racist group Pegida Nederland to spread his islamophobe hate. We don't want to stand in the way of this protest and we agree with the organisation that you dont debate with fascists: you counter them.
The Autonoom Centrum will be openend as usual on Monday.
