Ende Gelände is coming soon! This is the perfect chance to make a statement on how we feel about brown coal mining! Between 13th and 16th of May we are going to be part of a mass civil disobidience action and block the brown coal mine in the Lusatia near Berlin! We will join the Fossil Free busses to the camp, and join the action if you feel like.

We are going to have a first info evening about what Ende Gelände is, how it is connected to the climate movement and why it is important to take action now in this disastrous age of climate change. It will be held on Thursday evening at Forum room C103.

This action will be similar to last year’s Ende Gelände where 1500 people entered and successfully blocked a massive coalmine in the Rhineland. This year, organisations like Fossil Free, Greenpeace, 350.org, and Milieudefensie are mobilising so even more people join! Vattenfall, the owner of the coal field in Lusatia is trying to sell off their German branch. By resisting become an investment risk, and show that it is time to close the brown coal mine and invest in sustainable energy!

AFter this first evening another sunday afternoon will follow to make our plans more specific, as well as an action training here in Wageningen!
