3 jaar WE ARE HERE

On the 4th of September 2012 a group of refugees started their protest in Amsterdam because of their limbo situation: their asylum request got rejected, but they can’t return to their country either. The movement was started by a few individuals in a tent camp and has grown to a large group of approximately 300 people. Up till today We Are Here is still an active political pressure group that is trying to improve the situation of refugees in limbo in our society.
We Are Here is commemorating its three-year anniversary and warmly invites you to join them!
During our 3 year Anniversary Festival we want to spend a moment to look back at our collective struggle, the problems we are facing and the solidarity we have been experiencing. Solidarity and support has been of great value to the existence of our group.
The program of the Anniversary Party will consist of a lively variety of live music, homemade food, singing performances, speeches, and of course relaxing.
