DEMONSTRATION OF SOMALI REFUGEES AGAINST DEPORTATIONS TO SOMALIA
Tuesday 16 december 2014 from 13:00-15:00 o’clock - Plein in front of 2e Kamer Den Haag
We demonstrate because of the recent decision of the Dutch government to deport Somali people back to Somalia, even though Somalia is in a constant state of insecurity.
This decision is a result of a deal made with some Somali ministers, which we believe is unclear and unfair.
In Somalia is an on going war raging between the government and Al Shabab. This war will cause serious harm to those who the Dutch government intends to deport.
We believe deportations to Somalia are a violation of human rights. Therefore we are strongly condemning the Dutch government for this decision.
We like to invite media, social media and anyone else to assist us to pass the message on to both the Dutch and Somali governments about the danger of this decision of deporting Somali people back to Somalia.
At this moment there is no change what so ever in the war-situation in Somalia. When peace has been reached we want to return on our own account, because we are in Holland as refugees from the war.
