The autonomous center KTS in Freiburg, in southern Germany, is celebrating its 20th Birthday from May 28th until June 8th!


The autonomous center KTS in Freiburg, in southern Germany, is celebrating its 20th Birthday from May 28th until June 8th! Founded in 1994 and after many attempts to destroy it by the CDU (conservative) and later Green Party city governments, the KTS continues to thrive and represent an important part of activism in northern Europe. Highlights were the many Love-and-Hate Parades (this year will be the 7th one) and the Do-It-Yourself international anarchist gathering in 2006 which brought together thousands of international guests, as well as the daily operations including many events and concerts, popular kitchens, a free store, workshops, and legal and medical support.
