There will be a gathering in front of Calais town hall at 14.30h on
Saturday 1st March. There will be speakers followed by a march through the
town centre. This is a demonstration for freedom, dignity and respect for
all, now.

In Calais there are hundreds of people living in complete destitution
whilst many houses stand empty and abandoned. Every day people are chased
and harassed by police and used as scapegoats by the mayor to cover up the
failures of her own administration. These dehumanising and hostile
attitudes of the authorities of Calais promote violence and racism.

Of course not everybody has these sentiments of mistrust and fear. Many
Calaisiens are ashamed of seeing others treated in this way and are taking
action. Today we call for solidarity for those who have escaped tyranny
and oppression and come in search of we all want, which is freedom.

Am 1. Maerz 2014 kommen wir zusammen fuer Freiheit, Respekt und ein Leben in Wuerde - fuer Alle, jetzt!
Um 14:30 findet eine Kundgebung vor dem Rathaus in Calais statt, anschliessend fuehrt ein
Demonstrationsumzug durch die Innenstadt.

Hunderte von Menschen in Calais leben ohne Unterkunft und in unglaublicher Prekaritaet, waehrend unzaehlige Haeuser verlassen sind und ungenutzt leerstehen. Taeglich werden Leute durch die Polizei attackiert und schikaniert. Die Buergermeisterin nutzt die Situation in Calais und die Menschen aus, um die Fehler ihres eigenen Handelns zu verdecken.
Diese entwuerdigende und feindliche Haltung der Autoritaeten beguenstigt und foerdert Gewalt und Rassismus.

Aber nicht Alle teilen diese Stimmung des Misstrauens und der Angst. Viele Bewohner*Innen Calais' sind beschaemt ueber die Art, wie hier Menschen behandelt werden und wollen dagegen aktiv werden.
Wir rufen dazu auf, solidarisch zu sein mit jenen, die vor Tyrannei und Unterdrueckung geflohen sind! Wir wollen Solidaritaet mit jenen, die das suchen, was wir alle wollen, naemlich Freiheit.

Kommt alle, bringt eure Freund*Innen, Familie, Transpis und Musik, und bleibt zur AfterShow-Party!

Il y aura un rassemblement devant la mairie de Calais à 14h30 le samedi
1er Mars. Il y aura des tours de paroles suivies par une manifestation
dans le centre-ville. Il s'agit d'une manifestation pour la liberté, la
dignité et le respect de tous, maintenant.

À Calais, il ya des centaines de personnes qui vivent dans le dénuement
complet tandis que de nombreuses maisons sont vides et abandonnés. Chaque
jour des gens sont chassés et harcelés par la police et utilisés comme des
boucs émissaires par le maire de dissimuler les échecs de sa propre
administration. Ces attitudes déshumanisantes et hostiles des autorités de
Calais promouvoir la violence et le racisme.

Bien sûr, pas tout le monde a ces sentiments de méfiance et de peur.
Beaucoup de Calaisien-e-s ont honte de voir les autres traités de cette
manière et prennent des mesures. Aujourd'hui, nous appelons à la
solidarité pour ceux qui ont échappé à la tyrannie et de l'oppression et
de venir à la recherche de que nous voulons tous, la liberté.
