In Solidarity with Zwarte Piet is Racisme!
Zwarte Piet is not black because he climbed through the chimney, for that doesnt explain the black curly hair, the red lips, the clean clothes and creool earrings. Zwarte Piet was created in 1852 in the times that Holland colonized Africa and dealt in slaves. The whole image of Sinterklaas, the mighty white man and all his black servants is a racist one. The use of Blackface is not tolerated in most countries, time for the same to happen here!
Zwarte Piet is niet zwart omdat die uit de schoorsteen komt, want dat verklaart niet waarom die ook zwarte krullen, rode lippen, creoolse oorbellen en toch schone kleren heeft. Zwarte Piet is in 1852 bij het Sinterklaas feest toegevoegd, in de tijd dat Nederland Afrika koloniseerde en in slavenhandel drijfde. Het hele beeld van Sinterklaas, de machtige blanke man, met al zijn zwarte knechtjes is een racistisch beeld. Deze vorm van Blackface wordt in de meeste landen niet meer getolereerd, nu is het tijd dat dat hier ook het geval wordt!
