Vanuit Nederland vertrekken we eind april vanuit Hoek van Holland samen met een groep uit Engeland richting Duitsland waar we 12 Mei zullen aankomen. Onderweg komen we samen met groepen die fietsen uit o.a. Frankrijk, België en Zweden. Werkend als een mobiel kamp zijn er workshops, trainingen en gemeenschappelijke maaltijden. We verblijven zoveel mogelijk op plekken waar mensen werken voor een meer rechtvaardige en duurzame samenleving. Future projects of Vattenfall, the Swedish energy giant, tell another story. With the support of the gover-nments of Brandenburg and Saxony, Vattenfall is plan-ning to open three new coal pits to increase the asset value for the planned sale of its lignite division. After years of profiting from the lignite in the Lausitz Vatten-fall is now denying its responsibility. Now society will be burdened with the follow-up costs. Start:12/05/2016 19:00
Arrest, detention, deportation and disappearance of peers: these are very traumatic experiences for the children and young people in family locations. "No child to the side!" organizes two demo tours in May to protest together with the refugees for an honest and unconditional Children's Amnesty Regulation and to stop arrests, detention and deportation. In this edition of Basta! we will screen a documentary about 2009 occupation of Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Zagreb, Croatia. After the movie we will have a short discussion with some of the students that were involved in movement back then. At the end we will try to connect the student struggle in Croatia with one in the Netherlands – in the light of recent report about the effects of the recently implanted student loan system. | ||
