Pink washing in Israel: the government’s best tool of giving a false image of democratic spirit and liberalism in an apartheid state, the effects it has on the LGBTQ community in Israel, on the image of the army and Israel, and on the (anrcha)queer activism in Israel. “Pinkwashing” is the cynical promotion by Israel and its supporters of “free” LGBT bodies as somehow representative of Israeli democracy, obfuscating the reality of apartheid and occupation.
