on the 10th of August 2011 there was a demonstration through the inner city of amsterdam. in continuation of the struggle against the imprisonment of people and the mentality that supports its borders.
we walked with 35 people through the kalverstraat over the rokin and then up to the damstraat, to end up walking through the stopera and waterloo plein. holding banners, handing out flyers, pasting posters, and screaming. to say that we are against a system that locks up people based on the colour of their passports but especially about the weight of their wallet. tourists are rich foreigners, immigrants are poor foreigners.
we were there to disrupt the normality. to say what we thought, to make a moment of rupture in the spectacle.
against a system of control.
in solidarity with prisoners struggling agaist being identified.
until we all are free!
