Havenarbeiders in Griekenland blokkeren haven!

The court decided that the strike of the workers in the port of Piraeus, the main port of the country, is illegal. This decision is outrageous, as tomorrow is not only a strike in this sector, but a general strike, called even by the sold-out umbrella unions of GSEE (private sector) and ADEDY (public sector).
The police has occupied the entrances of the port and the port authority will prevent the strikers to blockade the harbour, as had happend last week during the strike of the harbour workers on 23rd of June when the strikers stoped all passenger boats from leaving or entering it. Reports talk about many riot policemen around the area at this time.
The climate is tence, and nobody is allowed to enter the port without a ticket. The unions of the builders of Athens call for gatherings to change place tomorrow, and to take place in Piraeus, in order to help the workers of the harbour to end the occupation of the port by the police. Other workers are expected to go to Piraeus for solidarity too.
The situation is crucial, considering that Piraeus is the largest port of the country, and that turism is one of the main industries running at this time here.
UPDATE
The workers succeeded to break the police occupation of the harbour. In the morning few ships managed to leave earlier than it was planned with few passengers, but finally the port is blockaded by the workers. In 6.15 am the police used teargas, in order to prevent the workers of entering the port, but did not manage to stop them. A strong block of members of the communist party and some autonomous unions were there since the early hours, and now left in order to go to Athens, where the main demonstration is planned.

Gister in NOVA als ik het me goed herinner 20 0f 22 miljard in het kader van de " banken crisis " ( schrijf ik er bij ) voor de Griekse schulden. Hoe zat het ook weer ? " Durf kapitalisten " hebben met manipulatie's
het banken systeem in doen storten ( of zo ? ). In ieder geval gaat Merkel
of hoe dat wijf heet die oost duitse trol 80 miljard bezuinigen voor al op de.... mensen met ( deels ) uitkering ! Tien miljoen ( 10.000.000 )
mensen in Duitsland ! Allemaal ( deels ) afhankelijk van een uitkering. Er is geen minimum loon in Duitsland " om mee te kunnen concureren met lage lonen landen " zo als een duitse econoom vertelde. Kinder geld voor mensen in de Bijstand in Duitsland wordt afgeschaft : 300,- per maand minder volgens NOVA. Hoe is de situatie in Nederland ? Vol op propaganda in de burgerlijke media zoals dat het aantal banen voor laaggschoolden niet is afgenomen in Ned. Er wordt niet bij gezegd dat als je boven de veertig bent je ook daar niet voor in aanmerking komt. Levens lang in de armoe. Mijn punt is nu : wat doen al die miljoenen zo al ? In Nederland al die honderd duizenden ? Overleven zal je mogelijk zeggen; in de rij staan bij de charitas zal je mogelijk zeggen. Ik heb zelf Bijstand en wat ik mis is organisatie. Zo af en toe laat ik dat ook op Indymedia NL blijken. Het is triest. Wat lees ik op de site van de AGA bijv. die ik overigens niet als deelnemer ken : allemaal onderwerpen / info avonden over " Verweggistan ".
Ik denk dat dat wel voor het over grote deel van activitisch Nederland
geldt. Mogelijk wordt er gezegd : organiseer zelf dan wat. Nou graag.
Als mensen zich geroepen voelen me daar bij te helpen ook graag.
Ik zal contact opnemen met de AGA om de interesse al daar te bekijken.
Ik zou niet weten waar ik anders kan aankloppen als armoe zaaier.
Mogelijk kunnen ze een " vriend " uit Duisland uitnodigen naar aanleiding van armoede organisatie en verzet in Duitsland.
