The international community condemned this overthrow as a Coup. However after six months of Micheletti’s presidency and an on-going oppression against Resistance Front, Porfirio Lobo was controversially elected as the new President of Honduras. U.S and other countries recognized the results of the new elections. Manuel Zelaya had to exile to Dominican Republic. José Trinidad Sánchez, active member of the Resistance Front will be present on March, 18th, in Amsterdam at the LAC to inform on the Human Rights situation in his country, the perspectives for the resistance movement, and the current political situation of Honduras.
