Zojuist heeft het moratorium op Terminator (zie bijdrage gisteren) COP8 overleefd! Zoals je kan lezen op www.wheredidmygenesgo.blogspot.com, heeft een groep landen onder leiding van Maleisie bereikt dat de aanbeveling voor een 'case by case' benadering niet overgenomen wordt. Dit is in elk geval een tijdelijke overwinning, en een heel belangrijke. With the hard work of many people - and with Malaysia apparently taking a lead role - the group not only came to a decision to get rid of the paragraph of case-by case basis, but also strengthened wording to reflect the mandate of decision V/5 - the original moratorium.
