Secret police detain Kurzyniec 02-11-2005 09:01 On 31.10.2005 Marek Kurzyniec, member of the Anarchist Federation and many pro-freedom and social initiatives, was detained in Krakow. The detention was carried out by five secret police. They didn't give any reason for the detention. The moment chosen for the detention was not chosen randomly - on that day and the following (1.11.2005), neither the courts nor the prosecutor had working days. Neither the lawyer nor the family of the detained was able to find a reason for the detention nor the duration for which Marek was being detained. One hypothesis for the detention is an unpaid fine for participation in the human rights demonstration against the visit by war criminal Vladimir Putin to Poland. 02-11-2005 15:52 The most recent information concerning Marek, coming from his lawyer, is that Marek will be held for 15 days, the court has assigned him some sort of social work during his arrest, so this is no possibility of bail.
