Chronicle of Actions Against Global Capitalis PR - 10.02.2005 12:02
Some actions in the US. The National Bolshevik Party is dedicated to a socialist, national alternative to capitalist globalization. As such, we will participate in actions against WTO, the IMF, NAFTA and the like, and in defense of working people. The following is a short chronicle of some events of economic resistance to the System: 1) Action against global capitalism at Mall of America. The action against global capitalism was meant to focus on the fact that foreign companies may go around the world, buy national and privately owned assets and exploit the working people for greed. We reject all types of capital, but especially the global kind, because it involves exploiting other people. The action at MOA focused on firms doing business in America which have displaced workers. In addition, special attention was paid to Japanese firms, which, through the help of organizations like the WTO, have practiced unfair trade in relation to the US. Boycott stickers were placed on items so that they would be difficult to remove and would damage the products. Among the firms singled out were Sony, Toshiba and Hello Kitty. 2)Two National Bolsheviks arrested in San Francisco. A small group of National Bolsheviks who were protesting Chinese Oppression of ethnic minorities were arrested for causing a disturbance. The group, which called on people to boycott Chinese products in response to these human rights outrages, was being harrassed by local Chinese bourgeoisie who attempted to stop us from spreading leaflets and exercising our right to free speech. In response, we pointed out that many of the people in this area were capitalists exploiting workers and we called on a larger group to make an action against this exploitation. At the request of the INS, the blood-sucking capitalist parasites were shut down and people were sent home so that they may fight for social justice where they are needed most - in their own countries. During the raids, a number of altercations broke out. The police, seeing that we were being beaten by the capitalists, usually arrested them and did their duty but, at one point a racist cop decided that we were inciting people and disturbing the peace. The activists are appealing the fines given. 3) Anti-war Vigils In the spirit of the situationists, National Bolsheviks have organized a number of spotaneous anti-war actions and vigils, in cities such as Columbus, Knoxville, Boston and Dover. Radical direct actions include attacks against gas stations, with graffiti like "Hell no, we won't go, we won't fight for Texaco." E-Mail: http://www.freewebs.com/nationalbolseviksusa/ |
