South Korea, 200 Days of Migrant Workers Sit- KCTU/ETU-MB - 02.06.2004 19:05
Yesterday here in Seoul we celebrated the real 200th day of our sit-in strike against S. Korean government's racist policy. MSSC STRUGGLE REPORT (Seoul, 6.01)As we reported Monday morning last Sunday we?d our 200th day of sit-in strike celebration rally/demo. But actually yesterday it was the 200th day of? The rally on Sunday we only did, because the most of our comrades in the different industrial regions outside Seoul can?t come during the week here. But yesterday we celebrated the real ?birthday? with a small, but lovely culture festival, followed by a kind of film festival ? we saw two documentaries about our struggle (very strange to remember the last 6 month just fighting for political and physical survive) and one short contribution made by some of our comrades with the help of MEDIA ACT (ha, really funny ?Myeong-dong Sit-in Struggle News"). After the ?official? program of course we?d a great party all together [aehhh~ without All Together - but everyone who was not participating? you just have to blame yourself?] until the early morning. All together around 90, beside us (40), self organized students and culture activists celebrated a great event, as you can see in the following photographs.
RELEASE ALL MIGRANT WORKERS FROM DETENTION CENTERS! FREEDOM FOR ALL POLITICAL PRISONERS IN S. KOREA! LET?S FIGHT TOGETHER FOR A WORLD WITHOUT EXPLOITATION AND OPPRESSION! ANOTHER WORLD IS POSSIBLE, ONLY IF YOU WANT AND FIGHT FOR IT! WE?VE NOTHING TO LOSE EXCEPT OUR CHAINS!
