Freud established that sex is the most powerful of human needs and influences. Had he be born in Ancient Egypt, he would have perhaps concluded that sex is the most natural of human needs.
To the ancient Egyptians sexual love was sacred. Everything in their texts and iconography attests to this belief. Originally the Earth-goddess Nut and the Earth-god Geb were locked in a sexual embrace, merging the cosmic world (spritual/divine) with the terrestrial world (material/natural).
