May Day 2003 DHKC international - 29.04.2003 23:10
ON MAY 1, THE INTERNATIONAL DAY OF RESISTANCE, WE MUST SHOUT OUT OUR SLOGANS AGAINST WARS, OCCUPATIONS, TERRORISM LISTS AND PRISONS THAT ARE REMINISCENT OF CONCENTRATION CAMPS ON THE PART OF IMPERIALISM Over the past year, imperialism, its collaborationist fascist governments and paramilitary collaborators have stepped up their attacks against the peoples of the world. Their attacks against the peoples have known no moral and legal limits. Bombs have been dropped on millions of people and mass murder was perpetrated. Besides the massacres, they have restricted all the democratic rights that have been won, doing so through the use of blacklists and concentration camps ranging from the F-Type Prisons of Turkey to Guantanamo. ON THE PART OF THE PEOPLES Over the past year, people all over the world have resisted imperialist attacks, wars, occupations and restrictions on democratic rights, using every possible democratic and legitimate means. All over the world, millions of people went out into the streets. Using all possible methods such as demonstrations, protest actions, strikes, barricades and so forth, they showed their solidarity with the peoples of the world. Every action, every slogan that was shouted showed that the guiltless peoples are not alone in their confrontation with the barbarity of imperialism. IMPERIALISM’S ATTACK IS GLOBAL CORRESPONDING TO THAT, LET US MAKE THE STRUGGLE AGAINST THE ATTACK A GLOBAL ONE AS WELL They want to conquer countries with wars and military occupations and found a world empire. By drawing up proscription lists of so-called terrorist groups, they seek to eliminate all anti-system and revolutionary organisations and do away with the right of people to organise. By using prisons and isolation cells they would like to silence political beliefs which speak out against imperialism, injustice, poverty and hunger. War and occupations, terrorism lists, proscriptions, prisons and isolation cells represent in their totality imperialism’s war and terrorism directed against the struggle of the peoples. As the peoples of the world, we must put up resistance to these policies of aggression. Everywhere on earth, millions of people have spoken out against the massacre of the Iraqi people and the loss of their sovereignty. All over the world, many organisations have taken a political stance in opposition. But no common political position was adopted, even if from time to time the same kinds of action were carried out worldwide. It did not prevent the guiltless Iraqi people from being fired on. In order to be able to oppose the policies of imperialism, today it is more important than ever for all to adopt a common political position opposing US imperialism worldwide and to enter into alliances to that effect. LET US UNITE, STRUGGLE AND WIN IN OUR OPPOSITION TO IMPERIALISM, CRUELTY, MILITARY OCCUPATIONS, TERRORISM LISTS AND ISOLATION CELLS. LET US BREATH LIFE INTO THE SPIRIT OF MAY DAY April 28, 2003 DHKC International |
