Israel hongert kinderen uit

Uit een artikel van Tanya Reinhart blijkt dat de Israelische overheid er niet tegenop ziet om Palestijnse kinderen te laten verhongeren, en bezig is met een campagne om humanitaire hulp aan de Palestijnen tegen te houden.
"That same day, however, Ha'aretz reported a new campaign, launched by the Israeli security echelons, to confiscate funds that are transmitted to the Palestinians through Israeli banks - "tens of millions of dollars a year...mainly from charity organizations in the Arab countries and in Europe". (Amos Har'el, Hebrew edition only). While UNRWA is on the verge of collapse, the Palestinians should be deprived also of the charity funds that help them survive. "
Schokkend is weer dat dit soort verhalen door Haaretz alleen in het Hebreeuws worden gebracht, alsof dit voor de rest van de wereld niet interessant is.

In the same way, the half of the American people that supports the war on Iraq believes that if they don't immediately eliminate the Iraqi people, Saddam Hussein will eliminate the US. "

Ook Israelische kinderen zijn het rechtstreekse slachtoffer van de Israelische staat, tenminste als het arabische kinderen zijn, zo blijkt uit een eis van Defense for Children International (DCI).
Volgens de Conventie van de Verenigde Naties voor de rechten van het kind (CRC), en de Israelische wet (jawel!), mogen kinderen niet midden in de nacht zomaar uit hun bed gehaald, naar het politieburo gesleept en ondervraagd worden, maar moeten zich (met ouders of voogd) overdag kunnen melden bij het politieburo. DCI Israel heeft informatie over 48 kinderen die, zonder strafblad, 's nachts uit hun bed zijn gehaald.
Volgens DCI Israel gebruikt de Israelische politie deze arrestatiemethode alleen bij arabische kinderen.
Erg veel meer aanwijzingen dat we hier met een regelrechte apartheidsstaat te maken hebben zijn niet meer nodig, toch?
