- Padyatra (landstrijd in India)
Leuk al dat kapitalisme roepen we hier. Meer willen we zelfs en ook nog lekker rechts. Ieder voor zich en god voor zijn donder. Ach dat het dan uitdraait op een soort Darwinistisch gevecht waarbij de sterksten overblijven weet zelfs de meest verstokte kapitalist. En eigenlijk begrijp ik nog niet waarom ze niet meteen roepen om bejaarden, gehandicapten, werklozen en ander gespuis, maar meteen te vergassen want je hebt er toch niets aan.
Toch laten veel mensen het er niet bij zitten. Bij Padyatra gaat het om mensen in India die landstrijd voeren. Bij de volgende film gaat het om mensen in Brazilië. Beide films komen van de video Global Insights 4 SKA TV.

This website provides information on a noteworthy event taking place in Bihar, a state in North-Eastern India- The Bihar padyatra (march), which was launched on September 11th, 2001. The march will end on October 11th, 2001. During this time, some 100 land rights activists and poor farmers will walk through 120 villages, covering a distance of 500 km, to focus attention on the plight of landless and marginal farmers in Bihar. Eighty per cent of the people of Bihar are rural.
There are 12 million small farmers; seventy five percent are marginalized. Land rights are therefore a crucial issue. The walkers are following a non-violent, Gandhian, civil disobedience strategy that has been used in India to empower the poor and disadvantaged, for many decades. The Bihar padyatra is coordinated by Ekta Parishad (United Forum).

- Taking back the land
Ja, het verhaal gaat hier gewoon verder, alleen nu in Brazilië. De Movimiento Sem Terra strijd voor eigen land en bezet actief grond van grootgrondbezitters.

In Brazil, 3% of the people own 2/3 of the land. This short film tells how hundreds of thousands of landless peasants and squatters from the favelas occupy productive land left unused by big landowners.
The Movimento Sem Terra, or MST, is the largest social movement in Latin America. With its help 350,000 families have transformed themselves from victims of poverty to self-sufficient rural workers living in legal settlements with pharmacies, schools and co-operative, mostly organic agriculture.
For this, they are called terrorists by government and media while over a thousand activists have been killed in clashes with landowners and police. Yet the movement continues to grow, because everybody has the right to land.

Ja en in de barre tijden van centrum rechtse regeringen die roepen dat het allemaal de schuld is van die buitenlanders, want het gaat toch zo slecht hier en zo en wij hebben ook honger en dorst en geen land en geen spullen. Raus! Zeiden ze ettelijke jaren geleden en nu. Netjes RAUS! Dertig minuten duits helaas, maar wel een stukje over de KLM, alleen wel heel kort, maar dat heb je met die duitsers die drukken alles weg ook in campagne land.

Over de video
The deportation-class campaign is aimed against the deportation bussiness of airline compagnies. It is part of the campaign to spoil the image of these airlines by coupling their identity to the dark side of their bussiness. The video shows examples of the actions against KLM and Lufthansa: touring with the deportation busses, occupation of a roof near the deportation jail at the Frankfurt airport, the civil war lottery in the city center of Bremen, and more from the history of the campaign.

Gebruik je geen geweld is het ook al niet goed. De geschiedenis herhaald zich. Ontruiming van luxe appartementen en een stukje tros uitzending over hoe vreselijk die krakers wel niet zijn.

Never heard, maar klinkt wel leuk.
Vrije Keyser
The Vrije Keyser is zowel radio als televisie en bestaat al sinds december 1979. De radio is altijd op dinsdag van 12.00 tot 20.00 te beluisteren op de 96.3 FM in de Amsterdamse vrije ether.
De TV heeft wel een piraten verleden van enkele uitzendingen gekend, maar is sinds 1998 elke dinsdag van 20.00 tot 21.00 uur te zien op Amsterdam 1 (A1), het Amsterdamse open kanaal.
Vrije Keyser is echter niet alleen een uur televisie per week. Camera´s en studio staan ter beschikking van acties en campagnes. Vrije Keyser heeft het afgelopen jaar al met diverse groepen samengewerkt.
