Democracy in USA is fragile - part II
International Olympic Committee(IOC) - 20.01.2002 22:04

Part II

"USA is ruled by the hegemony of a small elite, not
by the elected representatives" wrote the academic
Thomas R. Dye and L. Harmon Ziegler in their book
The irony of democracy: An Uncommon Introduction
to American Politics(Belmont, CA;Duxbury Press, 1975)

Democracy in USA is fragile - part II

Part II

The authors state further: "Now in the industrial,
scientific and nuclear age, the life in a democracy is
precisely like in a totalitarian society - compound by
a handful of men"

Also the author Jim Marrs, states in the introduction of
his newest book "Rule by Secrecy",(Harper-Collins NY,
2000)
"Today the common understanding about a tiny, wealthy
ruling elite - an oligarchy - controlling the american society
is supported by various examined facts."

For example the official statistics point out how the already
previous enormous gaps between rich and poor - dividing the
society, has continued to grow for the last decades.

A particularly interesting and seldomly discussed fact is that
the american national debt is enormous. Already in 1996
it passed the line of 6 trillion(quintillion) USDs and it continues
to increase. Meanwhile the american media turn up their eyes
on the Argentinian debt which is(only) 880 billion USDs.

According to some sources the federal state pays today
annually rates of up to 300 billion USDs, more than the total
of income tax harvested in US annually. Many view the
Federal Reserve as the thief in the drama.

Fed is undemocratic.

The so called centralbank in USA, Federal Reserve - publicly
known as the Fed is a particularly undemocratic chapter -
a state within the state and hundred percently owned by private
banks - some of them of foreign origin. Edward Griffin describes
in his book The Creature from Jekyll Island(Am Media 1994)
how it came to life irrevocably through a scandalous procedure
- two days before Christmas in 1913.

Senator Barry Goldwater(rep.) declared in the end of 80s:
"Most of the citizens don`t have a clue of what the international
investment banks are doing. And the bankers prefer it remains
like that. We all notice on a more or less hazy level that especially
the Rotschilds and Warburgs in Europe, and the houses of
J.P Morgan, Kuehn, Loeb&Company, Schiff, Lehman - not to
mention the Rockefellers have at their disposal and under their
control fortunes of inconcevaible wide.

How these families gained this vast financial power and how the
power is implemented on a global scale, is a complete mystery
to most of us.(...)
We don`t get less confused of the fact that these same private
financial powers practically both own and govern the american
central bank - Federal Reserve"(Jim Marrs page 12)

Finally some thoughts by the great innovative thinker R.Buckminster
Fuller who also understod that USA was governed by powerful men
behind the scenes. He wrote shortly before his death in 1983:

"USA is not governed by its seemingly democratic administration.
Nothing might be more pathetic than the role which must be
played by the United States president, when his real power is
approximately zero. Regardless of this, the media continues to
supply a picture that everything is as it should be and that the
president has one in the constitution defined sovereign powerposition
here in the United Stats of America."(Jim Marrs; page 14)

Among us ordinary people and less notable thinkers the Roswell case
from 1947 and Dealey Plaza 1963 prove that the often praised
democracy in the promised land behind the Atlantic de facto is
virtually a "non-existent". Such belong only to totalitarian countries -
and perhaps to seemingly democratic countries. And what is most
important: the criticism is delivered by the whole spectre of politics:
by intellectuals from left like Noam Chomsky to christian extremeright
evangelistas like Pat Robertson and many more.

These words should not be misinterpreted as having a negative attitude
towards USA or its people. On the contrary. The criticism above is on a
general level and is pointed out against various centers of power which
like a cancertumour is sucking dry America and its people as well as
the rest of the world through its tentacles in a.o Worldbank, IMF and
NATO.

Similar processes with similar patterns are taking place in other parts
of the world, but the lack of democratic control is in its own class
in the superpower USA. Unfortunately. And from our point of view
this system is exported to all NATO countries which hereby largely
are being infiltrated by negative USA-despotic elements.
The egocentric demand of "national security" by the military is used
as a self-lubricating camouflage.

"We have to have the authority to assassinate people before they
can assassinate us"
- Senator Bob Graham, Chair of Senate Intelligence Committee
