Embraced by thousand arms! Bike March part 2 Rosa - 14.10.2011 21:19
WE ARIVED on the Avenue the la Liberte in a inmens encounter with los Indignados from all of Europe! Today we had our last day of traveling from Antwerp to Brussels. The sun was sharp and our cheeks are burned. But all of us, on racebikes, old wheelbarrels with plastic bags dragging behind, all of us have arived and experienced the joy of this inmens encounter! Already before reaching the plaza at park elisabeth the cars where honking their horns. People hanging out of the windows to screem for giving us support. There, many people were awaiting us. I felt this moment of silence within. We- 16 bicyclers- in front of this uge crowd, many of them wearing red clown noses. They throw their hands in the air to wave. Then the silent image changes. People start to run at us to tangle us up in their thousend arms. As like being embraced by a inmense crowd. At now we start to work on actions for tomorrow in the occupied University. We have a proper working media centre, journalists, muscicians, coocks, dokters. The local zwimming pool receives us from 20:30 to take a shouwer. And there are free meals prepared 3 times a day. Tomorrow is the march. But for now lets see what the night will bring. YOU ARE NOT ALONE! THE WORLD IS IN OUR HANDS; AND WE ARE HERE TO REPRESENT OURSELVES!!!!! |
