The Bahrain absolute monarchy are allies of the USA and other NATO countries, because of the oil reserves and the United States navy base in Bahrain. Waad, the biggest Left opposition party in Bahrain, has managed the re-open its headquarters, which had been destroyed by the repression. They re-opened it to a joint meeting with other parliamentary and extra-parliamentary opposition groups. They decided to boycott the elections organized by the dictatorial goverrnment. In many villages in Bahrain, people held the biggest demonstrations since the crackdown in spring. Royal forces attacked them savagely. Meanwhile, more details are coming out about Siemens and Nokia selling equipment to the Bahrain monarchy helping it in torture. Filipino workers are leaving Bahrain because of ill-treatment by employers.
