"We rose up in armsbecause we would not die forgotten. So that people will hear our demands and not forget that in this corner of Mexico, live many indigenous who have been abandoned for many years."
We will show a 45 min. film on the zapatista struggle in Mexico and continue with an info on the current situation in Chiapas and the landevictions due to plantations for agrofuels.
We will also present some photo's from Orin Langelle, from global justice, an ecologic project, Chiapas.
In the near future we plan an benefit dinner in Joe's garage COMPITCH, a traditional womens' health organisation that unites women in the different communties of Chiapas. These communties or currently under a high threat of eviction. Last April they decides to stay and resist and called out for solidarity.
