This is beginning of the campaign to protect 68 trees from cutting them down. They are in the neighbourhood of General Vetterstraat next to Hofddorpplein. From years people from Amsterdam were involved in the occupations of forests all around the world. If we need we also going to protect those close to us ! We are ready but we hope negotiations would succeed and we do everything to support them.
Below the invitation for the talks in City council, what happened last wednesday and what are documented in video. (btw. "democratic" circus full of hierarchy, disrespect and quarrels to compare the squatters and activist meetings its looking pretty bad. And those people have "power" -sad...)
De gemeente wil 68 bomen kappen achter het Spijtellaantje en begraafplaats Huis te vraag om plaats te maken voor weer een leegstaand kantoor gebouw en een vuilstortplaats.
Waar nu een prachtig weiland ligt waar oude bomen heen een weer zwiepen in de wind en een riviertje rustig voort stroomt, waar katten jagen op veldmuizen en waar vogels nesten maken, wil de gemeente deze vrede ruw verstoren door weer een stukje natuur te vervangen door bakstenen.
Weer een leeg kantoorgebouw wel te verstaan, alsof er daar in zuid nog niet genoeg van zijn!
Verder willen ze naast de bescheiden doch veelgebruikte kinderspeelplaats een vuilstortplaats realiseren!
Deze schandalige plannen kunnen we niet toelaten.
Kom samen met ons buurtbewoners in actie.
kom inspreken (020-2521345), hang een spandoek op, deel flyers uit, wees creatief!
