Terroristen moet je natuurlijk doodmaken; niet alleen "ehh, ik bedoel mond-dood, met plakband op de mond", maar echt dood? De gewone burger mag zich niet zo uitlaten of riskeert gevangenisstraf alleen al bij zo'n bedreiging, laat staan bij de uitvoering daarvan. Maar de "CHANGE" regering van Obama mag dit natuurlijk wel zeggen. En natuurlijk; Wij willen CHANGE!

Hij doelde er daarmee ook op dat een uitwijzing naar Zweden vanwege een privezaak wegens vermeende ongewenste onveilige sex, er uiteindelijk toe kan leiden dat hij naar de USA wordt uitgewezen vanwege de andere ideële maatschappelijke zaak over persvrijheid, openbaarheid van bestuur en vrijheid van informatie, tegen een repressieve en terroristische regering.

In a related vein, you can send money to the coyly-named Institute for Historial Review, one of the world's largest clearing houses and supporters of Holocaust denial. Essentially, they're one of the most pernicious distributors of anti-Semitic literature in the world. And not only do they take Visa, Mastercard, and the Discover card, but donations are tax deductible in the U.S.!
It is somewhat difficult to support people who are actually in the business of killing people (except governments, of course). You can't easily donate online to the Maoist Naxalite rebels in India, or to Al Qaeda, for example. And one of the most wretched groups in America, NAMBLA, only takes cheques.
So apparently, WikiLeaks is as bad, in the eyes of Mastercard and Visa, as terrorists and pedophiles. That doesn't seem right somehow. Could it have something to do with the fact that the U.S. goverment lobbied Russia to aid both firms?

MM, de bedoeling van indymedia is volgens mij om alternatief nieuws te brengen, niet om enorme verzamelingen links te plaatsen naar mainstream nieuws, dat kunnen we elders zelf ook wel vinden. Dit is alleen maar vervuiling van de indymedia nieuwslijn.

Of dit niet de bedoeling is, is nog maar de vraag.
Het is een stuk met enkele alternatieve stellingen van mijn kant en met zeer recent nieuws links waaronder een opzienbarende, als onderbouwende achtergrond.
De stelling is hierin dat we met een "change" te maken hebben en onduidelijk is of die in de richting van Obama gov van info repressie gaat, of die Assange wenst. Verder dat er door USA met de term "terrorist" wordt gewerkt die je met alle middelen moet bestrijden.
De genoemde links zijn erin dat je bronnen behoort te vermelden. Overigens was dat vele uren werk om de meest opmerkelijke en van toepassing ertussen uit te ziften en zie ik niet eenieder elke dag op eigen houtje standaard doen voor tal van onderwerpen. Zelf doe ik dat ook niet elke dag en dan alleen maar voor een onderwerp. Ook mijn vrienden en kennissen doen dat eigenlijk nooit en kijken alleen voorgekauwd nieuws, ook al omdat ze moeten werken voor hun geld en niet zoveel vrije tijd hebben.
De vraag lijkt mij eerder of het onderwerp en strekking bij de Indy filosofie van "open newswire" van toepassing is. Vervolgens of het van activisme van belang kan zijn en de graad daarin. Of een collectief of organisatie het plaatst (soms niet meer dan enkele leden), dan wel een individu, is daarbij niet een regel (maar organisaties gaan wel voor).
Strikt genomen zou je alles wat van belang kan zijn, in de standaard open newswire moeten laten staan. De wat moeilijk te vinden weggeborgen open newswire is meer voor stukken die eigenlijk niet kunnen, maar niet van dien aard zijn dat ze in de vuilnisbak horen.
Maar ik denk dat het probleem anders opgelost kan worden; aanpassen van de software en indeling. Probleem is dat de schermopbouw van indymedia.nl niet zoveel toelaat en al snel onoverzichtelijk wordt. Zal die zo toelichten.

In andere woorden (naast het hoofdkader dat de kleur van de redactie heeft): Er zouden meerdere newswires naast elkaar kunnen staan; activistische groepen, "ander nieuws", "non-nieuws", "politiek incorrect", "wikis", "vuilnis". Met JavaScript of jQuery gaat dat nog veel eenvoudiger; harmonicas die openklikken met de andere nieuwsdraad. Kijk naar het pim-fortuyn.nl forum (zonder er een form van te maken); alles overzihtelijk gerangschikt en iedereen lijkt snel bij de verschillende rubrieken te komen.

Klik in de linkerkolom en de gewenste harmonica gaat open (heb dat nog niet voor de newswire recht, om het zoals voorgesteld te doen).
Dan kan je er -los van bovenstaande- ook andere items aan plakken. Een forum per artikel-posting. Wiki's om alle info over een onderwerp netjes in te rangschikken (ipv dat het op vele moeilijk vindbare artikel paginas ongredigeerd staat). Ook kan je werkgroepen middels groepssoftware installeren die zich met bepaalde taken bezig houden.
