20 nov 2010: 80 activists managed to disrupt access to the NATO summit in Lisbon.
By 9 am, about 80 activists from Spain, Portugal, Sweden, Belgium, Canada,... France, Germany, Netherlands and Poland blocked the access roads to the place where the summit is taking place, to prevent the passage of NATO official representatives.

The participants of this action immobilized themselves sitting at an intersection and tying up each other with pipes and locks. For two hours the activists were able to block a critical access point to the location of the summit. While the band played samba, three activists covered themselves in red ink, symbolizing the blood of NATO War's victims.
"Thanks to NATO, European countries are fighting in Afghanistan for nine years in a war without end. And they continue. Thanks to NATO, 20 years after the end of the Cold War, nuclear weapons still exist in Europe. And thanks to NATO, Europe continues to invest in an useless defense strategy based on missiles", says Josune Garcia from the Antimilitarist Group AA-MOC.

42 activists were detained and luckily due to the amazing job of the lawyers all released around midnight the same day!!!
