Leaving banality behind: Notes on social war social war - 04.06.2010 23:38
Confronted with those who refuse to recognize themselves in our orgies of destruction, we offer neither sympathy nor criticism but only our contempt. What's needed is not passivity, and even far less absence, but a putting-into-practice of singular indifference, a rejection in all forms of the structure of representation. In the realization of zones of offensive capacity, we reject those who would have us give up the inoperative ecstasy of crisis for the misery of humanism. To those who deride the radical joy in a car set aflame or a moment of friendship, we propose nothing less than to shatter their pathetic impotentiality, by any means necessary. Our need to riot is less the elaboration of a concept than the construction of a state of exception. The homogenous totality proposed to us is like a bad joke, and instead of laughter we respond with zones of indistinction which need no justification. It is necessary to commence without illusions; not to dream of new ways to negotiate, but to make manifest the subterranean becomings in the heart of each smashed window. Every barricaded hallway is a refusal to be productive, a blow against the logic of liberalism, a recognition of the immanent teleology inherent in the articulation of multiplicities. This is a call to insurrection, not an insistence on mobilization. We must negate all normalization—for once and for all. |

It is necessary to commence absolutely; not to dream of new ways to be productive, but to make manifest the subterranean desiring-bodies in the heart of each moment of friendship. | nn | nn - 05.06.2010 01:00
Our need to desire is less the realization of a plan than the construction of a line of flight. The compulsive mobilization proposed to us is like a bad joke, and instead of laughter we respond with rupture. | ? | Not a cynic, but... - 05.06.2010 13:47
Hey I don't want to diminish your insurgent fervor, but I seem to miss some context here. There's all the reason for setting things on fire from here to Moscow and back, but as I certainly don't see any 'orgies of destruction', looking out of my windows, I have to wonder what you're speaking about actually? Greece? A future you want to work on? What? See you on the barricades I guess... | hihi... | NNsrctnst - 05.06.2010 13:59
Soooo, for those who haven't figured it out yet. It's a website with a script that randomizes "insurrectionist" rethorics to show people how hollow it can (often) be. Press refresh in your browser and have another laugh :) bottom line; it's not cool or sophisticated because it doesn't make sense. | |
