Many critics say that our project is unreal. We can't agree with them and want to adduce some reasons for this.
In fact, there are some organizations that provide various places where creative practitioners live and interact with one another. There are two primary organizations which specialize in this servis for artists - "Res Artis" and "Alliance of Artists Communities". But the point is that these organizations are fully commercial. Their main purpose is to earn money. Besides, except for residential services, they couldn't give anything for the artists.
In contrast, we can offer quite another thing. According to our plan, people gather in a place where they'll work cooperatively to make comfortable the uninhabited island. Along this they have fully opportunities to occupy themselfs with any creative work. Their main contribution to common prosperity of the new art colony is not money, but unalienated, free work. Also, our plan supposes that life of the art colony based on principles of autonomy, individual liberty and personal self-determination.
To create a nice future we call not only artists but all people who interested this idea. You can get involved in the project right now. It goes without saying that all groundworks must go according to the constituent principles defined above.
We propose to set up a few working groups (WG) in which participants could apply their abilities to the real affair. At least folowing WG could be establish right now:
Public Relations WG
Financial WG
Island improvements WG
It's time to do the great work. And we can do it!
